This writ petition seeks facilitation of the availability of prosthetic limb with machinery (bilateral elbow disarticulation myo-electric hand prosthesis and myo-electric system with silicone glove, battery and charger) to Master Ritik who is suffering from bilateral elbow disarticulation (congenital deficiency). 2.
Mr. Sanjoy Ghose, learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the Govt. of NCT of Delhi has handed over a copy of the letter dated 31st October, 2017 written by Dr. J.C. Passey, Medical Director, Lok Nayak Hospital, New Delhi informing the Principal Secretary (Education), Govt. of NCT of Delhi as follows: Pg.1 of 3

Sir, With reference to letter Diary No. CS/2017/36759 dated 31.10.2017 forwarded to the undersigned through your goodself, it is submitted that on perusal of the case summary of Master Ritik, Class Xth student of Heera Lal Jain Senior School, Sadar Bazar (A Govt. aided school) in detail, it is diagnosed that this child suffers from severe disability condition. The prosthetic limb with machinery required for this child will cost around Rs. Five lacs.
As per Delhi Government scheme this money will be organized through Delhi Arogya Kosh for which codal formalities will have to be done and after placing the order, the supply of the prosthesis will also take sometime. It is, therefore, submitted that though every effort is being made to expedite the process of procurement, this child will be fitted with prosthesis within two months.

In view of the above, the relief sought by the petitioner for Master Ritik is being processed by the respondent authorities, who shall abide by the terms of the letter dated 31st October, 2017. Needless to say that Master Ritik will cooperate with the respondents and be available for all tests or any other requirements that are informed to him by the authorities.

The petitioner shall communicate the address at which Master Ritik should be conveyed information regarding scheduling of the tests, etc. by the respondents. The address shall be furnished to Mr. Sanjoy Ghose, learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the GNCTD by Mr. Ashok Agarwal, learned counsel for the petitioner within one week from today.
This writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. A copy of this order be given dasti to the parties under the signatures of the Court Master.
