W.P.(CRL) 2600/2017 The petitioner, Shabana has married one Shahrukh against the wishes of her father/respondent No.4. It has been submitted that the father of the petitioner has been harassing her and threatening her of dire consequences in case she continued to live with Shahrukh. The petitioner wishes to stay with Shahrukh as his legally wedded wife. The petitioner and Shahrukh are present in Court.

In the petition, the temporary address of the petitioner has been provided. No specific instance, but has been given in the writ petition to suggest that in the past, respondent No.4 had either called the petitioner or

threatened her.

Be that as it may, since the marriage is against the wishes of respondent No.4, this Court only directs that for some time, the SHO of the concerned police station should provide necessary protection to the petitioner in case of any untoward incident. For the aforesaid purpose, the petitioner and her husband shall be provided the telephone number of one of the police officers posted in the concerned police station. In case of any distress call by the petitioner, the same shall be responded with promptitude. No further order is required to be passed in the present writ petition.
