Learned counsel for the petitioner-accused seeks leave to withdraw the petition. He submits that direction be issued to the trial to expedite the recording of the evidence and conclude the trial. Learned counsel for the respondent has no objection to the said course of action.
In view of the above, the petition is dismissed as withdrawn. Trial court is directed to expedite the recording of the evidence and conclude the trial preferably by 31.12.2018.
