This petition has been filed by the petitioner under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereinafter referred to as the „Act‟) seeking extension of time for the Sole Arbitrator to pass the Arbitral Award. Counsel for the petitioner submits that the final arguments have been addressed by the parties before the Sole Arbitrator.

Counsel for the respondent who appears on an advance notice submits that the respondent has no objection if the time for making of the Award is extended by this Court.

Having perused the contents of the petition and no objection expressed by the counsel for the respondent, the time for making of the Award is extended by a further period of five months with effect

from 10.08.2018.

The petition is allowed in the above terms, with no order as to costs.
