% 06.02.2018 Crl. M.A. No. 2260/2018 (modification of order dated 18th December, 2017) 1.

By this application the petitioner Sonvir @ Somvir seeks modification of the order dated 18th December, 2017 granting parole to him subject to the condition of furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹25,000/- with one surety of the like amount. According to the petitioner, he is not in a position to furnish the surety bond of ₹25,000/- and thus a cash surety be permitted. 2.

The petitioner had earlier also applied for parole which was allowed in W.P. (Crl.) No. 2415/2016 when this Court directed the petitioner to be released for a period of four weeks on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹10,000/- with one surety of the like amount. The petitioner has already availed the benefit of parole granted to him in W.P. (Crl) No. 2415/2016.

Considering the facts stated in the application and the earlier order dated 14th September, 2016 passed by this Court in W.P. (Crl.) No. 2415/2016 the order dated 18th December, 2017 is modified. It is directed that the petitioner be now released on parole for a period of four weeks on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹10,000/- with one surety of the like amount, subject to the satisfaction of the Superintendent, Jail. 4.

Application is disposed of.

Copy of the order be communicated to the petitioner through Superintendent, Jail.
