With the consent of the parties, this petition is being disposed of.

Record shows that the petitioner has sought admission in the LL.B. course at the University of Delhi. She had been declined admission.

Pursuant to this writ petition (filed on 31.8.2017)on the first

date itself one seat had been directed to be reserved for the petitioner. Directions to the said effect had been given to respondent no.2. On 11.9.2017 this Court noting 8 vacant seats in respondent no.2 had directed respondent no.2 to grant admission to the petitioner. This order was reaffirmed on 14.9.2017 and again on 19.9.2017. The Division Bench in LPA No.639/2017 had on 25.9.2017 noted the stand of respondent no.2 which was that the petitioner would be granted admission during the course of the day and her attendance would be calculated from the date from which she started attending classes.

On 26.9.2017 in WP(C) 5118/2017 Joginder Kumar Sukhija Vs.Union of India and Ors. the stand of respondent and the Faculty of Law was noted. Over and above the 2310 seats which were available in the LL.B. course, the supernumerary seats were directed to be taken into account and candidates were to be admitted in the supernumerary seats as well. Accordingly, University of Delhi had issued a notice dated 28.9.2017 pursuant to the order passed by the Division Bench on 26.9.2017. Candidates in the General Category who had scored marks between 234 to 230 had been granted admission. The petitioner has scored 231 marks; she obtained her admission as per her merit and rank in the General Category at Law Centre-II.

Vide order dated 11.10.2017 the Division Bench in the aforenoted writ petition had directed to the Delhi University to file a compliance report pursuant to the order dated 26.9.2017. Compliance report to the said effect has also been furnished to the Division Bench.

In its affidavit (in the aforenoted writ petition) the University of Delhi stated that 152 seats had fallen vacant after the exclusion of supernumerary seats from the sanctioned strength of 2310; the petitioner had filled in one seat and 151 more seats were required to be filled which were also then filled in. All this is a matter of record. The prayer of the petitioner stands satisfied. There is nothing else which survives in this petition.
