CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK
O R D E R
% 25.10.2017 It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no. 2 are neighbours. A quarrel took place between them on some trivial issue which had led to registration of FIR No. 616/2016 under Sections 354/504/506/34 IPC at police station New Usmanpur, on the complaint of respondent no.2. It is further submitted that petitioners and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably, therefore, present FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom may be quashed. Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by ASI Suresh Kumar of police station New Usmanpur. She submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioners of her own free will and without any undue force,
pressure or coercion. She has no objection in case FIR is quashed. Keeping in mind that a settlement has been arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no.2 and respondent no.2 is not willing to pursue the FIR any further, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 616/2016 under Sections 354/504/506/34 IPC registered at police station New Usmanpur and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
