The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to respondent no.1 restraining them from not taking coercive action against the petitioners and to further declare petitioner no.2 as guardian of petitioner no.1 from the date of filing the present petition till 14.02.2019 (that is, the date of petitioner no.1 attaining the age of majority). 2.

The present petition was moved on 06.11.2018. It was stated that at the material time, petitioner no.1 was a minor, aged 17 years and nine months. The petitioners claimed that they had contracted a marriage on 22.09.2018 against the wishes of the family members of petitioner no.1. In

the said context, the petitioners were apprehensive about their safety at the hands of their family members. In view of the circumstances, this court, on 06.11.2018, had directed the SHO (Sunlight Colony) to ensure that adequate protection is granted to the petitioners against any action from the family members of petitioner no.1.

Subsequently, it was reported that an FIR (being FIR No. 548/2018 under Sections 363/365/120-B IPC) had been registered with P.S. Haroa, 24 Pargana (North), West Bengal by the family members of petitioner no.1. A status report has since been filed by SI Biswajit Sapui, Haroa P.S., Basirhat Police District indicating that after completion of the investigation, the said FIR has been closed.

In view of the above, the order passed on 06.11.2018 by this court is made absolute.

No further orders are required to be passed in the present petition. 6.

The petition is disposed of.
