O R D E R

By this petition, the petitioner seeks parole on the ground that he has to file special leave petition and find a suitable match for his daughter and to maintain social ties.

A status report has been handed over which is taken on record. As per the status report the petitioner was convicted for offences punishable under Sections376(2)(G)/506/364/365 IPC by the learned Trial Court and in appeal though the conviction was maintained, however, the sentence was reduced from life imprisonment to Rigorous Imprisonment for 10 years vide the judgment of this Court dated 18th May, 2018.

The residential address of the petitioner has been verified where the petitioner's wife along with the four daughters and two sons is residing. The W.P.(CRL) 3478/2018

eldest daughter of the petitioner is aged 21 years. As per the status report, petitioner is involved in two other cases under Sections 323 and 325 IPC in the year1994, however, the final outcome thereof has not been noted in the status report.

As per the nominal roll during the course of Trial and during the pendency of appeal, the petitioner was granted interim bail and interim suspension of sentence. Except for one instance of delay in surrender by four days, there is no allegation that the petitioner misused the concession granted to him.

After the dismissal of appeal, the petitioner surrendered on 31st May, 2018. Thus, though no case is made out for grant of parole for reestablishing social ties, however, this Court deems it fit to grant parole for filing a special leave petition as also to search a suitable match for his daughter.

Consequently, the petitioner is directed to be released on parole for a period of four weeks from the date of his release on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹25,000/- with one surety bond of the like amount, subject to the satisfaction of the learned Trial Court. 7.

Petition is disposed of.
