CORAM:

HON'BLE MS. JUSTICE MUKTA GUPTA

O R D E R

% 29.11.2017 By this petition the petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No. 199/2017 under Sections 420/120B IPC registred at PS Economic Offences Wing on the complaint of respondent No.2/ Rajesh Singh Tomar. A status report has been filed which indicates that 54 complaints were forwarded to Economic Offences Wing from Police Station Karol Bagh including complaints from respondents No.2 to 5 herein. In addition to these complaints one separate complaint filed by the respondents No.2 to 5 under Section 156(3) Cr.P.C. was also sent from Police Station Karol Bagh to the Economic Offences Wing. It is the case of the prosecution that till now 54 complainants/victims are there in the FIR and statements of only 12 victims have been recorded.

W.P.(CRL) 2598/2017

Considering the fact that in the FIR investigation of nearly 54 victims is being conducted, the petitioner cannot claim quashing of the FIR on the basis of settlement between him and four victims i.e. respondent No.2 to 5. Petition is accordingly dismissed.
