% 13.08.2018 Notice. Learned APP accepts notice for respondent no.1. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and accepts notice. She has been identified by SI Pardeep Singh of police station Mahendra Park. Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled all her disputes with the petitioner no.1 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion, before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Rohini District Courts, Delhi on 19.05.2016. She further submits that her marriage with petitioner no.1 has been dissolved by a Decree of Divorce dated 16.03.2017 by Family
Court, North District, Rohini Courts, Delhi. She further submits that she has already received possession of House No.1203, First Floor, I-Block, Jahangir Puri, Delhi. The petitioner no.1 is present in Court and he submits that he will not claim any right title or interest in the first floor of aforesaid property. Respondent No.2 admits that she has received the chain of documents of aforesaid property; therefore, she has no objection in case FIR No.13/2012 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Mahendra Park and the consequent proceedings are quashed against the petitioner and his relatives.
Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of, in the above terms. Miscellaneous appearance is disposed of as infructuous.
