CORAM:

HON'BLE MS. JUSTICE REKHA PALLI

O R D E R

% 04.04.2018 Vide the present petition, the petitioner has impugned the notice dated 01.09.2017 whereby the petitioner was directed to vacate the hostel Room No.60 which had been allotted to him in Saramati P.G. Men's Hostel, University of Delhi, South Campus, New Delhi. The order sheet shows that vide order dated 15.09.2017, while issuing notice this Court had directed status quo to be maintained, in respect of the aforesaid hostel accommodation allotted to the petitioner.

Today, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner will be appearing in the final examination of his M.A.(Hindi) in May, 2018, and therefore, prays that the petition may

be disposed of by confirming the aforesaid interim order till 15.06.2018. He submits on instructions, that the petitioner undertakes to vacate the hostel on or before 15.06.2018 and will submit an undertaking to the aforesaid effect to the respondent No.1 within one week from today.

In view of the aforesaid admitted position that the petitioner is already in the final year of his M.A.(Hindi), I am of the opinion that it would be appropriate to dispose of the petition by directing that subject to the petitioner filing an undertaking to vacate the hostel on or before 15.06.2018, the petitioner be allowed to continue to occupy the hostel Room No.60 in Saramati P.G. Men's Hostel, University of Delhi, South Campus, New Delhi. The pending application also stands disposed of.
