Petitioner had filed this writ petition and it was his grievance at the initial stage that in the trial pending before the court below, in which he is a party, certain documents which are in digital form have not been supplied to him.

We are informed that the said grievance of the petitioner has been redressed and the copies have been supplied to him. The larger issue with regard to formulating the Rules for working of the District Courts and the matter of supplying of documents and material which are in digital form is pending before the District Court. This aspect of the matter has to be considered by the appropriate Rules making committee of the High Court or the IT Committee of the High Court including the guidelines on the Rules making committee issued by the Supreme Court. W.P.(C) 8353/2017

Considering the facts, we deem it appropriate to place the matter before the Registrar General of this Court to place it before the appropriate committee/committees to consider the same and address the issue by taking note of the same and formulate the appropriate Rules in accordance with law.
