% 10.11.2017 The appellant's claim for alternative plot in the present case was rejected on the ground that all of his lands were not acquired and that lands to the extent of over 22 bighas remained unacquired. The learned Single Judge upheld the rejection, after following a judgment of the Supreme Court in Delhi Development Authority v. Jai Singh Kanwar, [C.A. 8289/2010, decided on 14.09.2011] [hereafter referred to as "Jai Singh"] Having regard to the reasoning given by the Supreme Court in Jai Singh (supra), which was merely followed by the learned Single Judge, the Court is of the opinion that there is no merit in the appeal. The appeal is accordingly dismissed along with the pending application.
