% 26.10.2017 Respondent no. 2 Ms. Seema is present in Court and has been identified by W/SI Anita of Police Station Paschim Vihar. She says that she has settled the matter with the petitioner, who is/was her mother-in-law before the Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi on 7th November, 2016 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion, therefore, FIR 47/2002 under Sections 498A/406 IPC registered at PS Paschim Vihar, may be quashed. Respondent no.2 submits that her husband has already expired on 22nd September, 2011.

Petitioner has paid `25,000/- to respondent no.2 in the Court today. Respondent no.2 submits that with this payment, entire settled amount stands received. Respondent no. 2 further submits that she is not willing to pursue criminal proceedings against the petitioner any further against the petitioner and, therefore, the afore-mentioned FIR and consequent

proceedings emanating therefrom, may be quashed. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2, in the interest of justice, FIR 47/2002 under Sections 498A/406 IPC registered at PS Paschim Vihar and the consequent proceedings emanating thereform are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
