The limited grievance raised by the petitioner in the present case is the inaction on the part of the respondent/CRPF in not deciding the representation submitted by him for grant of compassionate allowance with effect from the date of his removal from service. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner had submitted a representation to the respondent as far back as on 24th October, 2016 (Annexure P/1) which has remained pending at their end without any response whatsoever. Hence the present petition. 3.
Learned counsel for the respondents assures the court that the representation of the petitioner shall be considered and decided in accordance with law at the earliest.

We deem it appropriate to dispose of the present petition at the stage of admission with a direction to the respondents to consider and WP (C) No.9395/2017 Page No.1 of 2
decide the representation dated 24th October, 2016 submitted by the petitioner for grant of compassionate allowance within eight weeks from today under written intimation to the petitioner. 5.
Needless to state that if the petitioner is aggrieved by the order passed, he may take legal recourse as may be available. 6.
The petition is disposed of.
