% 26.09.2017 A status report authored by Inspector Ravi Kant, SHO Police StationKarawal Nagar, dated 25.09.2017 has been handed over in Court today. The same is taken on record.
Learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondent No.2 Sh. Ram Chand, the father of Gayatri; for whose production the present habeas corpus petition has been instituted, states that the latter, in terms of the particulars provided to the Unique Identification Authority of India, Regional Office, Pragati Maidan, Delhi (UIDAI), pertaining to Aadhaar Card No.370386094346, as well as, the Ration Card Office, Government of NCT of Delhi, is clearly and demonstrably an adult and has attained
majority on 01.01.2016.
In that view of the matter, it has been urged on behalf of the counsel representing respondent No.2 Sh. Ram Chand, on instructions from the latter, that Gayatri is at liberty to reside with the petitioner Rahul, if she so desires.
Ms. Gayatri, who is also present in Court today, expresses her wish to reside with her husband Rahul and proposes to join him today itself at their matrimonial home.
Counsel appearing on behalf of respondent No.2 Ram Chand, father of Gayatri, further states that they have no objection to Gayatri exercising her free will in this manner.
Directed accordingly.
