% 20.09.2017 It is submitted that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably vide Memorandum of Understanding dated 11th September, 2017, therefore, FIR No.821/2015 under Sections 406/498-A/34 IPC registered at police station Ranhola and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom, may be quashed.

Petitioner nos. 2 to 7 are relatives of petitioner no1.

Respondent no. 2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Parveen Kumar P.S. Ranhola. Respondent no. 2 says that she has settled the matter with the petitioner no.1 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further says that she is living with petitioner no.1 since December, 2016 and is not willing to pursue the FIR any further and the same may be quashed.

Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between husband and the wife i.e. petitioner no.1 and respondent no. 2 coupled with the fact that they have started living together, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping them entangled in the criminal proceedings. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No.821/2015 under Sections 406/498-A/34 IPC registered at police station Ranhola and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.

Miscellaneous application, if any, is disposed of as infructuous.
