CORAM:

O R D E R
% 18.09.2017 1.
The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that a direction be issued to respondent nos.1 and 2 to take measures for expeditious disposal of cases at the district forum level. 2.
The petitioner is essentially aggrieved by the repeated adjournments being granted by the District Consumer Redressal Forum. The petitioner had filed a complaint against respondent no. 3 on 16.06.2014, and the pleadings and evidence was completed by 12.01.2016. The petitioner states that written submissions were also filed on 03.05.2016; however, matter has been repeatedly adjourned. It is seen that the matter has now been fixed for disposal on 27.03.2018.
On the previous date of hearing, that is, 02.06.2017, the matter could not be taken up as the President and the other members of the said forum were on leave.
3.
This Court is informed that there are a large number of matters that are pending before the District Consumer Redressal Forum (South Delhi) and this Court is of the view that no interference is called for in this petition. 4.
Accordingly, the petition is disposed of by permitting the petitioner to approach the District Consumer Redressal Forum for an early hearing. VIBHU BAKHRU, J SEPTEMBER 18, 2017 dr
