% 15.09.2017 The Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 29(A) of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of time for making the award.

Learned counsel for the parties submit that final arguments have already been concluded by the parties and the matter is reserved for making the award. They submit that the Arbitrator had conducted the proceedings diligently and the parties had also diligently prosecuted the proceedings. It is contended that there is no delay attributable to the Arbitrator. However, on account of the nature of the disputes some time took place in conclusion of the arbitration proceedings.

In view of the above, the petition is allowed. The time for making the award is extended for a further period of one month from today i.e. till 15.10.2017.
