O R D E R

% 02.12.2015 The present petition was filed in wake of the parents of petitioner No.1 doling out threats to the petitioners of dire consequences in case petitioner No.1 did not leave the company of petitioner No.2. The petitioners, after coming of age, married each other without any threat, coercion or pressure. The aforesaid marriage was out of a relationship which developed over a period of time. The marriage of the petitioners has not been accepted by respondent No.5.

It has been alleged in the petition that respondent No.5 in collusion with respondent No.6, who is a Head Constable at Police Station Shahin Bagh, has been troubling the petitioners.

This Court has interacted with the petitioners. They have stated before the Court that as on date, i.e. after filing of

the present petition, respondents No.5 and 6 have stopped giving any threats to the petitioners.

The status report reflects that all possible steps have been taken to ensure the safety of the petitioners. The telephone numbers of the officer incharge of the Police Post, Rodgran and beat constables have been provided to the petitioners. The beat constables are briefed to be vigilant and have been asked to promptly inform the Police Station in case any untoward incident is reported.

Considering the fact that as on date, there is no threat perception to the petitioner, the petition is disposed of as having become infructuous. In case the petitioners again get any threat from respondents No.5 or respondent No.6, it would be open for them to approach this Court for needful.
