O R D E R

% 12.10.2015 The petitioner's grievance is with respect to his candidature to CISF. He claims to have successfully participated in the recruitment process initiated in 2014 from Ranchi, Jharkhand. It is stated that despite repeated reminders, the respondents have not provided a clear picture concerning his candidature even though the petitioner in fact has secured marks entitling him to be appointed to the post. The respondents appearing on advance notice submit that this court should decline entertaining this proceeding on the ground of lack of territorial jurisdiction. It is pointed out that both the CISF and Staff Selection Board have regional offices and in these circumstances, the petitioner should approach the Jharkhand High Court or Patna High Court as the case may be for his grievance.

It is however also submitted that according to the counsels' instructions, the petitioner's case is being processed and some difficulties are being experienced on account of verification of the domicile claimed by him.

In light of the submissions made by the respondents' counsel, the petitioner seeks liberty to approach the concerned High Court, however he requests that this court may direct the respondents to clarify the position of his candidature by an appropriate written reply. In light of the submissions made, the respondents are hereby directed to indicate to the petitioner within four weeks the current position of his candidature for the post of Constable (GD) in the CISF. In case the petitioner has a grievance, it is open to him to approach the Jharkhand High Court or Patna High Court as the case may be.

The writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty as aforesaid.

Copy of this order be given dasti to the counsel for the parties under signatures of the Court Master.
