O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 347/2018 This petition has been filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of time for the Arbitral Tribunal to publish its Award.
Counsel for the respondent, who appears on advance notice, submits that the respondent has no objection if the time for making of the Arbitral Award is extended by this Court. In fact, he submits that the time be extended by a period of four months so as to give adequate time to the Arbitral Tribunal to consider the submissions of the parties before passing the Award.
In view of the submissions made, the time for making of the Award by the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a further period of four months with
effect from 03.11.2018.
The petition is allowed in the above terms, with no order as to cost. Dasti.
