The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, impugning an order dated 23.10.2018 passed by the District Magistrate under the provisions of the Delhi Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2009.

The petitioners have an alternate remedy under Rule 22 (3) (4) of the said Rules and the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners seeks to withdraw the present petition with liberty to avail of the alternate remedy. He, however, requests the impugned order not be implemented till the petitioners had the opportunity to do so.

In view of the above, the petition is dismissed as withdrawn. It is

directed that the impugned order will not be given effect to for a further period of seven days from today.

The pending application is also disposed of.
