% 02.02.2018 Respondent no.2 - Smt. Shikha Sharma is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by ASI Jagdish Prasad, PS Roop Nagar.

Respondent no. 2 says that she has settled the matter with the petitioner before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Courts, New Delhi on 28th September, 2016 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure and coercion.

She says that she has no objection in case FIR No. 472/2015 under Sections 354/509/34 IPC registered at Police Station Roop Nagar on her complaint is quashed.

Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, FIR No. 472/2015 under Sections 354/509/34 IPC and the subsequent proceedings are quashed. It is noted that initially FIR was registered under Section 509

IPC.

However, during the investigation, offences under Sections 354/34 IPC were registered and charge-sheet has been filed under all the provisions.

Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and the respondent no. 2 voluntarily before the Mediation Centre, I am of the view that no useful purpose will be served in keeping the FIR pending.

Accordingly, the FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
