The petitioners have filed the present petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for quashing of FIR No.0901/2014, under Sections 308/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, registered at Police Station Karawal Nagar, Delhi and the proceedings emanating therefrom.

The petitioners as well as respondent Nos.2 to 4 and their respective counsel submitted that the parties have settled the matter vide Compromise Deed dated 10.7.2018 with the intervention of the family members and other respectable members of the society. They further submitted that they are neighbours and are now living peacefully and undertake that they shall not fight with each other and may be given an opportunity to live a peaceful and normal life.

Learned APP for the State, on the instructions, has identified the petitioners as well as respondent Nos.2 to 4 and verified about the Settlement/Compromise Deed and submitted that the Settlement/Compromise Deed has been executed between the parties on their own free will, without any force or coercion. Learned APP for the State, on instructions, further submitted that the parties have no other criminal case pending against them.

Respondent Nos.2 to 4 submitted that the matter has been settled on their own free will, without any force, pressure or coercion and they have no objection to the petition being allowed and the quashing of the FIR.

In view of the aforesaid circumstances and the settlement arrived at between the parties, this Court is of the view that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the parties entangled in the criminal proceedings. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No.0901/2014 dated 8.10.2014, under Sections 308/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, registered at Police Station Karawal Nagar, Delhi and the proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. 6.
Petition is disposed of in above terms.
