% 26.11.2018 CRL.M.C. 5934/2018 & Crl.M.A.Nos.48005-48006/2018 After some hearing, counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, seeks permission to withdraw the present petition, his prayer being limited to extension of time for compliance with impugned direction by another period of 30 days in terms of Section 148(2) of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 2018, as amended by Act No.20 of 2018, which came into force with effect from 01.09.2018, the extended period to be calculated with reference to the order dated 26.09.2018 of the first appellate court in Crl. Appeal No.421/2018, he also adding that such deposit is without prejudice to his contentions in the said appeal. Ordered accordingly.
The petition and the applications filed therewith are dismissed as withdrawn. The time of compliance and the directions for CRL.M.C. 5934/2018
deposit, as given by the first appellate court by the above order dated 26.09.2018, stands extended by 30 days beyond the initial period of 60 days as earlier granted. As submitted by counsel for the petitioner, such deposit would be without prejudice to the contentions of the petitioner on merits of the case against him. Copy of the order be given dasti under the signatures of the Court Master.
