The Court on 16.03.2026, passed the following order: "1. Having heard the learned counsel for parties, we are of the opinion that issue between the parties may be settled even outside the Court.
2. Mr. P.O. Gupta, learned Senior Advocate, representing appellantInstitution, on our persuasion, states that the appellant-Institution shall pay a total amount of ₹20,00,000/- towards lull and final settlement of the issues between the Parties.
3. Let the said offer made by appellant-Institution be considered by the respondent and accordingly, the learned Counsel for the respondent may take instructions regarding the same by the next date of listing.
4. On further persuasion, the learned counsel for appellant-Institution also agrees that in case of acceptance of this offer by the respondent, the appellant-Institution will have no objection if an observation is made by the Court that the order of removal shall not carry any stigma upon the respondent.
5. List on 27.04.2026.

the issues between the parties is recorded therein. 3.
Learned counsel for respondent no.1 on instructions, has stated that the respondent no.1 has agreed to the said offer. 4.
Accordingly, we dispose of the instant appeal in the following terms: (i) The sum of ₹20,00,000/- shall be paid by the appellantInstitution to respondent no.1 within a period of four weeks after adjusting the amount which is already deposited before the Registry of this Court, pursuant to our order dated 26.01.2018. (ii) The said amount deposited before the Registry along with the interest shall be released in favour of respondent no.1. Rest of the amount shall be paid by the appellant-Institution within four weeks. (iii) We further direct that the order of removal passed by the appellant-Institution against respondent no.1 dated 25.04.2003 shall have no effect on respondent no.1 and shall also not carry any stigma against respondent no.1.

We may put on record our appreciation for Mr. P.D. Gupta, learned senior advocate representing the appellant-Institution, as also Mr. Atul Bandhu, learned counsel for respondent no.1 for persuading the parties to arrive at a settlement amongst themselves.
