% 23.11.2017 1.
By this petition the petitioner has sought parole for a period of six months. The mother of the petitioner had earlier filed an application for grant of parole for a period of one month with competent authority seeking parole for the marriage of the younger brother of the petitioner as the sagai and marriage were fixed on 20th November, 2017 and 28th November, 2017 respectively stating that there is no other male member in the family as his father and grandfather had expired and the uncle is languishing in jail. 2.
Since no decision on the said application was taken, this court vide the order dated 3rd November, 2017 recorded the statement of learned standing counsel, who stated that the competent authority would decide the application within a period of one week. Learned standing counsel has
handed over a copy of the communication dated 22.11.2017 whereby the petitioner has been granted parole for a period of two weeks. 3.
In view of the fact that the application of the petitioner seeking parole has already been disposed of by the competent authority, the present writ petition is disposed of as infructuous.
