W.P.(CRL) 2711/2017 The present petition is for seeking protection from the police against the proposed action of respondent Nos.5 & 6. It has been submitted that the petitioners, of their own volition have married themselves on 05.08.2017. This marriage is not to the liking of respondent Nos.5 & 6 who are the uncle and aunt of petitioner No.1/Charu.

Mr.Ashish Aggarwal, ASC has informed this Court that on the complaint of the petitioners, protection has been provided to them. The petitioners have been given the telephone number of a responsible police officer of the police station and they have been assured that in times of

distress or in necessity, if any call would be made to the police station, it shall be promptly responded to.

Considering the aforesaid statement of the learned Additional Standing Counsel, no further order is required to be passed in the present writ petition.
