O R D E R

% 18.09.2017 It is submitted that petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi on 16th November, 2016.

Therefore, FIR No.392/2016 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Kalyanpuri, Delhi may be quashed. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court today alongwith her counsel and has been identified by SI Krishan Kumar, P.S. Kalyanpuri. She says that she has settled the matter with petitioner no.1 before the Mediation Centre of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She says that her marriage with the petitioner no.1 has already

been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 6th June, 2017. Petitioners no.2 to 4 are relatives of petitioner no.1. Petitioner no.1 has paid `50,000/- to respondent nos. 2 towards the balance settled amount by cheque. Photocopy whereof has been placed on record. Respondent no.2 says that she has received the entire settled amount with this payment and she has no objection in case FIR No. 392/2016 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Kalyanpuri, Delhi is quashed. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the parties and that marriage between the petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 has already been dissolved, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 392/2016 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Kalyanpuri, Delhi, which is at the stage of investigation is quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.

Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
