% 06.02.2018 It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no.2 are known to each other being residents of same locality. A quarrel took place between them on some trivial issue which led to registration of FIR No. 2/2001 under Sections 324/34 IPC. Subsequently, offence under Section 324/34 IPC was converted to Section 326/34 IPC.
It is submitted that with the intervention of their common friends and family members, petitioners and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably vide Compromise Deed dated 2nd February, 2015, therefore, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom may be quashed.
Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with his counsel and has been identified by SI Manoj Kumar of police station I.P. Estate. He admits
having settled the matter with the petitioners of his own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. He has no objection in case the FIR is quashed.
Keeping in mind that a settlement has been arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
