The challenge, in this writ petition, at the instance of the Punjab and Sind Bank, is to a demand for composition fee as raised by the respondent/DDA vide its letter dated 2nd February, 2017 for ₹3,20,52,840/-.

When this matter was taken up on 25th September, 2017, learned counsel, Ms. Seema Gupta appearing for the petitioner had submitted that the bank was not denying its liability to pay the composition fee, but was seeking to know the basis of exorbitant composition fee of ₹3,20,52,840/-.

This Court, therefore, directed that the demand and the basis thereof be placed on record by the DDA.

As per the status report filed in compliance with the said direction, the composition fee was reduced to ₹2,11,25,340.00 as has been noted in the order dated 16th November, 2017. However, the bank disputed this amount as well, whereupon notice was issued in this writ petition, calling for a counter affidavit. 5.

The Assistant Director, Institutional Land presented himself before this Court and was heard, whereupon this Court, vide its order dated 20th April, 2018 directed officers of both parties to hold the meeting on 24th April, 2018, at 3.00 PM.

Learned counsel before me are ad idem, consequent to the said meeting, composition fee payable stands further reduced to ₹30,55,485/-, and that the said amount stands paid by the petitioner/bank.

Nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition, which is disposed of as such.
