% 24.10.2017 Petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to attach the property no.35/15, Old Rajinder Nagar, New Delhi and make recovery there against. He claims to be the owner of the property.

It is the statutory duty of the Commissioner concerned to assess, levy and recover the due taxes. In that view of the matter, and, in the event, taxes are due in respect of the subject property, Commissioner, North DMC is directed to treat the instant petition to be the representation and assess, levy and recover the due taxes in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible. Petition stands disposed off accordingly.
