CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A. K. CHAWLA
O R D E R
% 14.12.2017 Adjournment is sought on behalf of the petitioner on the premise that the counsel is not available on account of some personal reasons. On being queried, as to what are the personal reasons, ld. counsel appearing for the petitioner only submits that, today, he is not appearing in any of the Courts. Personal reasons even are not known to the ld. counsel appearing for the petitioner. Vakalatnama is signed
by the petitioner and accepted to, by at least, three lawyers. Adjournment cannot be granted for the sake of asking. Adjournment is therefore, declined.
Instant petition came to be filed with the prayer, as follows : "(a) Directing the respondent 1 & 2 to grant permission to the petitioners for using the Dushera Ground, Sadar Bazar, Delhi Cantt. w.e.f. 28/09/2017 to 01/10/2017 for organizing Dushera Function on the occasion of Dushera, 2017. (b) Cancelling the permission given by respondent No.1 and 2 to respondent No.3 for using Dushera Ground w.e.f. 18.9.217 to 1.10.2017 after declaring such permission for this period to be illegal and arbitrary."
A bare perusal of the prayer clause would show that it was in relation to an event to be held between 19.9.2017 to 1.10.2017, which is over long before. Petition has thus become infructuous and is dismissed accordingly.
