CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR
O R D E R
% 25.09.2017 The present petition has been filed seeking protection against respondents No.2 to 5, who are related to petitioner and have not accepted her marriage with one Sarfaraj Alam. The petitioner married Sarfaraj Alam on 08.02.2017 after he proselytised and became a Hindu. It has been submitted that respondents No.2 to 5, who are closely related to petitioner, have been troubling her and threatening her of dire consequences. Ms. Kamna Vohra, learned ASC, on the strength of the status report which has been filed today and has been taken on record, submits that the parents of the petitioner have expressed and have also given an undertaking that they would have nothing to do with the marriage of the petitioner. They have, in fact, accepted the factum of marriage. Thus, there is virtually no
threat, as on date, from the respondents No.2 to 5. In case the petitioner still receives any threatening call from the respondents, it would be open for her to approach the concerned police station and in that event, the SHO shall act with promptitude and will provide all protection to the petitioner.
With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. Dasti.
