O R D E R

% 21.09.2017 It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no.2 were known to each other. They used to commute together to their workplace and college. Now, they have settled their disputes amicably with the interventions of their common friends, vide a Deed of Memorandum of Understanding dated 9th August, 2017 (Annexure P-4); therefore, FIR No.6/2017 under Section 354 IPC registered at police station Maurice Nagar on the complaint of respondent no. 2, may be quashed.

Respondent no. 2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by W/SI Akanksha, P.S. Maurice Nagar. Respondent no. 2 submits that she has now settled the matter with the petitioner

of her own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further and the same may be quashed. Petitioner has voluntarily compensated the respondent no. 2 by paying `25,000/- in Court towards the mental pain and agony.

Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in the interest of justice, FIR No.6/2017 under Section 354 IPC registered at police station Maurice Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
