% 21.11.2017 FIR No.229/2017 under Sections 354D/506/509 IPC was registered at police station Amedkar Nagar on the compliant of respondent no.2 alleging therein that she came in touch with the petitioner through a matrimonial website and thereafter, he (petitioner) started stalking her. It is submitted that matter has now been settled between petitioner and respondent no.2 vide Compromise /Settlement Deed dated 5th June, 2017 (annexure P-4). Ms. Vandana Gahlot, respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by Insp. Saroj Bala of police station Ambedkar Nagar. She admits the factum of settlement arrived at with petitioner and she submits that she has settled the matter of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. Respondent no.2 further submits that she is not willing to pursue the aforesaid FIR against petitioner and the same may be quashed.

Keeping in view the above facts and in view of the settlement between petitioner and respondent no.2, in the interest of justice, FIR No.229/2017 under Sections 354D/506/509 IPC was registered at police station Amedkar Nagar, and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed.
