% 22.09.2017 Petitioner is brother-in-law (Saala) of respondent no.2. On the complaint of respondent no.2, present FIR No. 520/15 under Section 3(1)(x) of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 was registered against the petitioner at police station Janak Puri. It is submitted that there were disputes pending between the respondent no.2 and his wife, that is, sister of petitioner. Respondent no.2 and his wife (sister of petitioner) have settled their disputes amicably before the Delhi Mediation Centre on 6th April, 2017 vide Annexure P-3. In the said settlement, respondent no.2 has also agreed for quashing of the present FIR.
Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with his counsel and has been identified by ACP Omwati Malik. He submits that he has no objection in case the FIR is quashed.
Keeping in mind the above facts and circumstances, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 520/15 under Section 3(1)(x) of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
