% 22.09.2017 By these petitions the petitioners have prayed for quashing of following cross FIRs:- (a)FIR No. 177/2014 under Sections 323/324/354/506/34 IPC registered at PS Lajpat Nagar on the complaint of respondent no.2 Ponam Vimal in Cr1. MC 3954/2017.; & (b)FIR No. 178/2014 under Sections 323/324/354/506/34 IPC registered at PS Lajpat Nagar on the complaint of respondent no.2 Dipali Jai Singh in Cr1. MC 3958/20 17. By:AMULYA
Petitioners and respondents are known to each other, in as much as they are living in the same locality. A perusal of the FIRs show that a quarrel ensued between them on some trivial issue which led to registration of the aforementioned FIRs. Respondents / complainants namely Poonam Vimal and Deepali Jai Singh are present in the Court and have been identified by ASI Jai Chand, PS Lajpat Nagar. Respondents submit that they have settled the matter with the petitioners of their own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. They further submit that they are not willing to pursue criminal proceedings against the petitioners and, therefore, aforementioned FIRs and consequent proceedings emanating 4?
thereform, may be quashed.
Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondents, in the interest of justice, FIR Nos.177/2014 and 178/20 14 both under Sections 323/324/354/506/34 IPC registered at PS Lajpat Nagar and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed.
