% 09.01.2018 Learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the elections which are the subject matter of the present petition have already been held on 24.09.2017 and the results thereof stand declared.

In view of this development, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he would also like to challenge the outcome of the elections held on 24.09.2017 and therefore, seeks leave to withdraw the present petition with liberty to initiate appropriate proceedings in accordance with law.
