The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, impugning an order dated 29.08.2017, passed by the Authorization Committee constituted under the Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Act 1994, whereby the petitioner's application for seeking permission of transplantation of a kidney has been rejected.

In terms of Section 17 of the Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Act, 1994, the petitioner has preferred an appeal before the Central Government which is stated to be pending.
The learned counsel for the respondents states that the said appeal would be considered and disposed of, if it is not already been considered, and the decision would be communicated to the petitioner within a period of 10 days from today. It is so directed.
The concerned Appellate Authority shall consider the petitioner's appeal and decide the same in accordance with law having
regard to the decision of this Court in Parveen Begum and Anr. v. Appellate Authority and Anr:189(2012)DLT427 3.
The petition is disposed of with the aforesaid directions. 4.
Order dasti.
