O R D E R

% 10.10.2017 It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes before Mediation Centre, Saket Courts, New Delhi on 7th July, 2015, therefore, FIR may be quashed.

The complainant/Respondent No.2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Sandeep, P.S. Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi. She submits that her marriage with the petitioner has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent on 6th April, 2017, pursuant to the settlement arrived between her and the petitioner and she has no objection in case the FIR is quashed. She has confirmed that she has settled the matter of her own free will and without any coercion.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the parties and the fact that marriage between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce, in the interest of justice, FIR No.698/2014 under Sections 409-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.

Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
