O R D E R

Learned counsel for GNCTD has handed over a photocopy of the Home (General) Department's notification dated 14th October, 2024 whereby the Board of Visitors for all the Jails have been constituted. The said document is taken on record.

Mr. Ajay Verma, learned counsel for intervenor points out that there are large number of vacancies in the Medical, Para Medical and other staff in the Tihar Jail.

Mr. Anuj Aggarwal, learned counsel for the GNCTD assures this Court that all the vacancies in Medical, Para Medical and other staff of The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

Central Jail Hospital (CJH) and Tihar Jail shall be filled up, as expeditiously as possible.

However, keeping in view the fact that the jails in Delhi are working much beyond their capacity, this Court directs the respondent to fill up all the vacancies of Medical, Para Medical and other staff in CJH and Tihar Jail in accordance with the GNCTD Act within sixteen weeks. 5.
