The petition seeks expeditious disposal of the application filed by the respondents for leave to defend the petition for eviction under Section 14(1)(e) of the Delhi Rent Control Act, 1958 filed by the petitioners and pending for consideration since September, 2014. 4.
The petition for eviction from which this petition arises is stated to be connected to three other petitions for eviction filed by the petitioners against other tenants in the same property and in which petitions for eviction also the applications for leave to defend have remained pending for long and which applications vide order dated 27th September, 2017 in CM(M) No.1091/2017 and CM(M) No.1092/2017 filed by petitioners have been CM(M) 1131/2017
ordered to be listed on 24th October, 2017 and to be disposed of on or before 31st December, 2017.

The petition for eviction subject matter of this petition was listed last before the Additional Rent Controller on 18th September, 2017 when the same has been adjourned for hearing arguments on the application for leave to defend to 1st March, 2018.

The petition is allowed.

The learned Additional Rent Controller (ARC)-01 (Central), Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi is directed to prepone the date of hearing in E No.1010/2014 (New No.78428/2016) titled as Shri Girish Kakar & Anr. Vs. Shri Shyam Sunder Batra & Ors listed next on 1st March, 2018, also to 24th October, 2017 and to dispose of the application for leave to defend filed by the respondents on or before 31st December, 2017. 8.
A copy of this order be supplied dasti under the signatures of the Court Master to the counsel for the petitioners for service under his signatures on the respondents and their counsel with intimation to appear before the ARC-01 (Central), Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi on 24th October, 2017.
