CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK
O R D E R
% 19.07.2018 Notice. Learned APP accepts notice for the respondent no.1. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Prateek Saxena of police station Jaitpur. She submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion, inasmuch as she has received compensation of `20,000/- towards the mental pain and agony suffered by her. She further says that she has no objection in case FIR No. 57/2016 under Sections 354(D)/509 IPC registered at police station Jaitpur and consequent proceedings are quashed in view of the settlement. Her affidavit in this
regard is on record at page 18.
Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
Dasti.
