1. Mr. Ankur Chibber, learned counsel for the Petitioners, hands over in the Court a copy of the Office Memorandum (OM) No. 8-23/2017-E.IIIA dated 28th September, 2018 issued by the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance whereby the pay of persons other than direct recruits in a particular grade is equated with the entry pay for direct recruits appointed after 1st January 2006 in terms of Section-2 of Part A of the First Schedule to the Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules 2008.

2. In view of the above OM, the impugned order dated 6th April, 2017 along with the order dated 27th July, 2011 in case of Petitioner No.1 and the order dated 14th July, 2017 along with the order dated 12th December, 2011 in case

of Petitioner No.2 are hereby quashed and the Respondent is directed to implement the aforementioned office memorandum in case of both the Petitioners with pay of Rs. 9910 with effect from 1st January 2006.

3. The orders giving effect to the above directions be issued by the Respondents not later than four weeks from today.
