% 21.02.2019 CM APPLN. 8460/2019 Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner/applicant seeks permission to withdraw the instant application with liberty to file appropriate petition before the appropriate Bench challenging of order dated 09.01.2019.

Permission is granted with liberty as prayed for. The instant application is dismissed as withdrawn. W.P.(C) 12636/2018 Pursuant to order dated 22.01.2019, the meeting was held on 15.02.2019 in UGC Head Quarters wherein Professor D.P. Singh, Chairman of UGC, Prof. Rajnish Jain, Secretary of UGC, Prof. M. Jagadesh Kumar, Vice Chancellor of JNU and Dr. Pramod Kumar, Registrar of JNU attended the meeting and decided that the centre in JNU is fulfilling the aims and

objectives of the scheme and nomenclature of the centre has also been changed as per the UGC norms. Accordingly, the Committee decided that as one-time measure, the UGC will release the admissible grant upto 31.03.2019 for all the teaching and non-teaching positions appointed on tenure basis, in the Centre of JNU, New Delhi. Learned counsel submits that the salary and other administrative amount shall be disbursed very soon.

Accordingly, I hereby direct the UGC to disburse the amount within two weeks from the receipt of this order and thereafter the university is directed to pay the amount in favour of the petitioner, failing which the defaulting party shall be liable to the cost of ₹ 25,000/- to be paid in favour of the petitioner.
