% 12.10.2017 Respondent no.2 (complainant) is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by ASI Gauri Shankar of police station Rani Bagh.
Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner no.1 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that her marriage with the petitioner no.1 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent passed by the Principal Judge, North West District, Rohini Court, Delhi on 4th September, 2017.
She further submits that she has already entire settled amount and she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further against the petitioner no.1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 to 4 and the same
may be quashed.
Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 and the fact that their marriage has already been dissolved, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 429/2016 under Sections 498A/506/406/34 IPC registered at police station Rani Bagh and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
