O R D E R

% 12.10.2017 It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably vide a Settlement - cum - Compromise Deed dated 9th October, 2017; therefore, FIR No.619/2016 under Section 354 IPC registered at Police Station Janak Puri on the complaint of respondent no.2, may be quashed.

Respondent no. 2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Manju of Police Station Janak Puri. Respondent no. 2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner

of her own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion.

Respondent no. 2 further submits that petitioner had tendered apology, which has been accepted by her.

It is noted that petitioner has offered to compensate `50,000/- to the respondent no. 2 towards mental tension and agony of trial.

Respondent no. 2 has accepted this amount tendered by the petitioner in Court. Respondent no. 2 further submits that she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further and the same may be quashed.

Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2, in the interest of justice, FIR No.619/2016 under Section 354 IPC registered at Police Station Janak Puri and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
